Commercial & Industrial Ductwork.
Fabricated in Pennsylvania, Installed Anywhere.

Custom dust collection, blow pipe, plenums, and welded duct built to your spec and installed in your plant. Carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and specialty alloys. One stop shop from design to field installation.

What Our Ductwork Service Covers

A.M. Metal designs, fabricates, and installs commercial and industrial ductwork for manufacturing plants, processing facilities, and the contractors who serve them. We are a single source for the whole job: we engineer the system, build it in our South Williamsport shop, and send our own crews to install it in the field.

Most of our ductwork work falls into four categories:

Dust collection and blow pipe.

Custom piping, chutes, and blow pipe systems that pull dust, shavings, trim, and particulate off your equipment and out of your air. This is a large part of what we do, from a single run to a full plant system.

Process and exhaust duct.

Welded duct for food-grade, sanitary, and specialty environments, including stainless and aluminum work where a clean, sealed system is the requirement, not an upgrade.

Heating and ventilation ductwork.

Supply and return duct, plenums, custom transitions, and offsets that tie new equipment into existing systems. We build outlet plenums for furnaces, transitions off bottom-discharge and rooftop units, and the custom connections that never come standard.

Boiler exhaust and damper work.

Boiler exhaust systems and automatic damper work, including the automatic closing dampers that tie into your equipment and keep the system running safely.

Industries & Applications We Serve

We work in food and beverage plants and processors, Pharmaceutical and clean-process facilities, Manufacturing and industrial operations. We’re also set up for Public and institutional projects (rate work) – the prevailing-wage and union jobs that come with public projects. State jobs, schools, colleges and universities, government buildings: we meet the labor and documentation requirements those jobs carry, and we hold them to the same standard as everything else we build.

Food manufacturing and processing

including custom chutes with installed magnets for product lines, and food-grade welded duct for sanitary environments.

Woodworking shops and furniture

dust collection systems and blow pipe sized to the equipment.

Foundries and general manufacturing

heavy-duty duct and ventilation built for demanding conditions.

Pharmaceutical & manufacturers

clean, precise duct and piping where the spec is exact and documented.

Chemical processing

fat tank piping and corrosion-rated material for aggressive environments.

Materials We Work With

The right ductwork starts with the right material, and the right gauge. A system built too light fails — we have been called in to replace duct that was specified in too thin a gauge and collapsed under its own suction. We help you match the material and thickness to the job so the system lasts.

We fabricate in:

Carbon steel

the workhorse for most industrial duct and structural runs.

Stainless steel

in multiple grades suited to food, pharmaceutical, sanitary, and corrosive applications.

Aluminum

for lighter-weight and specialty applications.

Specialty alloys

Specialty alloys and sourced materials. If a job calls for something out of the ordinary - titanium, for example. we can price it and source it.

Authorized US Duct Dealer

We are a US Duct dealer, supplying and fabricating the clamp-together spiral dust collection ducting system, which is built to SMACNA standard. On most of our own fabrication, we go above and beyond SMACNA standards.

If you already know what you need, we speak your language: plenums and outlet plenums, custom transitions and offsets, blow pipe, custom chutes, Ductmate frame connections, Vanstone ring connections, and welded duct for sanitary work.

The Shop-to-Site Advantage

A lot of ductwork problems come from a handoff: one company designs it, another builds it, a third installs it, and when something does not fit, everyone points at someone else.

A.M. Metal keeps the whole job under one roof. We design the system, fabricate it in our shop, and send our own experienced crews to install it in your facility. That means:

Honest answers. If you bought a used dust collector that we cannot stand behind, we will tell you before it goes in, not after.

Experience and craftsmanship are the foundation of every system we build

Over 40 years of hands-on ductwork experience from Dave Danniker, plus more than 20 years of ductwork and metalwork experience from Jeremy.

Certified welders, tested for specific weld types on request when a job requires it.

Built to OSHA, NFPA, and SMACNA standards — and on our own fabrication, routinely above and beyond SMACNA.

Trusted by plant managers and engineers across the region.

We do not chase the lowest-price, one-and-done jobs. We build relationships, and our customers come back.

If your facility is outside our home region, ask — distance is rarely the deciding factor when the work is specialized.

Industries We Serve

We provide fabrication services across a wide range of industries, including:

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you quote me a list of ductwork?
Yes. Send us your list or your drawings and we will price it out. If you are not sure exactly what you need, tell us what it is for, the material, and the gauge, and we will help you spec it.
Yes. Dust collection is a large part of what we do. We will come out, look at your building and equipment, determine the right type of system, and design, fabricate, and install it as a complete project.
Yes. We are a US Duct dealer and supply the clamp-together spiral dust collection ducting system, built to SMACNA standard, alongside our own custom fabrication.
Yes. Custom transitions, offsets, and connections off bottom-discharge and rooftop units are some of our most common work. We field measure so the custom pieces fit your existing system the first time.
Carbon steel, stainless steel in multiple grades, aluminum, and specialty alloys. If a job calls for something unusual, we can price it and source it.
Both. We handle complete design-fabricate-install projects, and we also build individual custom pieces for customers who want to install them themselves.
We will take a look at it first. We prefer to see used equipment ourselves before we commit, because if it is not something we can stand behind, we will tell you up front rather than install something that will not perform.

Need ductwork built right?

Send us your drawings or a list, tell us about your dust collection project, or have us come out and field measure. One shop, from design to installation.
